What's Hot

I need a replacement top hat knob for my CS R8. Does anyone know where can I get genuine replacement CS top hat knobs from?

Preferably before Gibson goes tits up.

The 2016 spec shows this part number:

Just put speed knobs on it.  I know they aren't period correct, but they are much better to use.

What is so special about the Gibson knobs? I bet they buy them at the same place as AllParts do.

Some Gibson knobs have painted numbers, some have proper embossed numbers that look more 3d. The embossed ones tend to sit higher on the pot shaft, Historic style.

The Gibson ones are from the same source as Allparts as far as I can tell. I only have the amber ones in stock at the minute.

These Allparts look close enough from the pics:

It's easy enough to get proper Gibson ones from eBay.  You'll have to get a pack of 4 and they'll be more expensive than Allparts, but you won't need a second mortgage or anything.

But if they're the same as Allparts I guess you're safe enough getting Allparts.

    Yup.  :)

The only issue is that AP will spank you on delivery. I do them with free delivery, should have them in stock in a few days if you can be bothered waiting.
