Superb 2005 Gibson J45 Historic Collection:

This model is no longer available or made but is 

the 2005 version of the current Vintage line which retail at £2,800. 

This is an excellent example of how an acoustic guitar should sound.It is the soft rounded shoulders and X braces that sounds fantastic, projects nicely.It is warm, woody and articulate.  It has good low action with no buzzing.

It has been fitted with a K&K pure pickup professionally fitted by Charlie Chandler. 
The K&K is warm full and articulate without the harsh quack of a piezo pick up. It is the favoured pick up of most Nashville professional guitarists for good reason.
There are some wear and marks - All purely cosmetic and in line with a 13 year old used guitar. The worse ding which is surface only is shown against a five pence piece on the last photo.

The Historic Collection was a faithful reissue of a guitar with the look, feel, and tonal properties of a vintage J-45. As Gibson's most popular dreadnought acoustic guitar since its introduction in 1942, the soft shoulder J-45 design delivers great warmth, excellent projection, and a clear, dynamic response. Featuring an AA Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides. 

The one-piece mahogany neck has a medium C shaped profile with rolled fretboard edges and slight shoulders. The generous slab rosewood fretboard boasts vintage-style fretwire The nut measures a full 1 11/16" in width, and the headstock boasts a silkscreened gold "Gibson" logo along with a set of stock Kluson-style nickel tuners with white buttons. The "Historic Collection" logo is clean and intact as well. 

The soft shoulder X braced dreadnought body is in fantastic shape with no cracks or repairs and a stately vintage sunburst nitro lacquer finish. 

The Gibson hardshell case is included .

I will pack and send the guitar within the UK at the cost and risk of the buyer but would prefer collection. If the guitar is sent I will provide full details of dimensions and weight and ensure it is properly packed and then leave it for the buyer to arrange collection and delivery once all funds have cleared for the sale.

I would also consider a trade/swap for a Martin acoustic provided it is

• A honey coloured front (not bleached white)  
• 1 11/16 nut
• 25.4 scale length or less
• NOT a V neck profile.
