NGD! PRS SE Custom

Popped into PMT Northampton with two older redundant guitars that weren't attracting much interest in the classifieds with the intent of trying a couple of PRS, looking first at the blue SE Standard, unfortunately the one they had featured a dink.

So I tried an SE Custom in Red and instantly it sounded much better, though overall playability was pretty similar.  A reasonable trade in and price match later and voila NGD...

Cant wait to have a noodle later :)

That might be down to the maple cap versus all mahogany.

    overall playability was pretty similar
The pickups are probably pretty similar too. ;) They happen to suit one body better than the other.

the one they had featured a dink.
If you had not been part-exchanging, you could have used the dink to wangle a discount.

Oh they offered me a discount anyhow, they were really good today, but the dink was right next to the pickup, I'd see it all the time.

I don't think anyone would regret buying one of the standards or customs, both were really excellent guitars.
