Little finger use over 12th fret

Ive been learning some stuff via the old Hot LIcks Videos stuff and one run Ive transposed into E goes up really high into the dusty end of the fret board. When Im practising this, Ive used my 4th finger but as its all abit of a squeeze up there, Im wondering about dropped out my forth finger. Thing is, I use the 4th for all my other types of runs.. IIm just wondering if I should stick with the 4th or try and relearn just using my 3rd when going over the 12th fret...

Up to you- you can use finger 3 in place of it or you can use 4th finger.

Whatever works for you.
