dead simple song this and I suspect an embarrassingly easy answer...

There's one pre chorus bit though where he goes C Am F and then I normally play Dm before the G but it doesn't look like Mr Cole does and I can't quite suss what he's playing... 

Any ideas folks and many thanks as always...

I'd say that's Fmaj7/C (x 3 3 2 1 0) followed by what I'd (almost certainly incorrectly) call Dmin7+9 ( x x 0 2 1 0).

Yep - just played that and it sounds bang on...

I'm just of to hang my head in shame but appreciate the help - think I'd gone chord blind!
