Buzz when using polytune

Today I noticed a strange thing when using my Polytune. When it was on, thus muting the guitar and allowing me to tune, there was a funny buzz coming from my amp when I plucked a string...as though some form of signal was being passed through. Any ideas? Is the polytune knackered?

Are you using it with a daisy chain? I had a similar issue with a noise coming through while engaged which went away went I started using a psu with isolated outputs.

No, I'm using the Vitoos isolated power supply.

Which model? Is only heard good things about the Vitoos stuff, but plenty of head scratching about how they can offer what they claim to offer at the prices they charge. It may not be as isolated as it claims.

I had the same experience as Adam_MD- noise on a daisy chain, but dead quiet on an isolated output from my Truetone CS7.

No, it's normal for them. It's because the power supply is probably not truly isolated, as english_bob said.
