Naga Viper vs Micro Amp Plus

I’m interested in a boost with flexible EQ (that can be tweaked with my foot if necessary).

Currently I get drive from a Liquid Sunshine, going into a Deluxe Reverb that’s loud enough so it’s adding a bit of compression but not quite clipping.

The boost would be going into the LS, giving either full range boost for a saggy tweedfest, or treble boost to give fuzzy, cutty solos.

I’d also be using it for more sparkle on cleaner sounds when rolling the guitar volume back.

When the Naga Viper has the ‘heat’ control cranked, does that add quite a bright, fuzzy drive? Presumably the MXR stays resolutely clean.
