  • All Original
  • Treble, Bass & Presence and Volume
  • Russian NOS EL84 quad
  • RCA 7025 preamp into a NOS valve I can't identify into a Sovtek LPS in the PI slot
  • Totally clean playing - there's a rattling EL84 in there, but it only rattles when playing another amp - nothing that taints the playing experience
  • Can't find any marks on the shell Z

    Dear Baz,

    I am thinking hard about buying one of your two amps, these days...

    Have you ever tamed them by a fryette ps2, before?
    Would the magic in sound/touch/feel be staying, then?

    I'm a home player mainly and (still) do have some neighbours.

    @ the Express: The sticker on the back says „Gary Higgins“ – did you buy directly from that guy?
    @ the Rocket: I am more into cleans, early breakup and lighter crunch. Concerning what I've read about TWs, the R. seems to fit better?
    What would you recommend more, the Express or the Rocket? How did you use them two? 

    Would you dare posting one amp safely to Munich, Germany? What would be the costs (DPD, DHL,...?)?

    Hi Jochen,

    I run both of these amps through a Power Station and the results are excellent - both amps still retain their dynamics and feel at home playing levels

    Both amps can do cleans brilliantly, but the Express can get more aggressive and will react more when you dig into the guitar.

    I’ll IM for address details, but no issues with posting to Germany
