NPD: MXR EQ - bugger

Bought this on a whim and it’s bloody 18v. Can I use an Xotix voltage doubler or similar?

On a more constructive note, how do you use yours? Always on or solo/rhythm boost?

I used to use 2x 9v isolated power supply outputs along with a voltage doubler cable.

I currently use a single 18v output on one of my power supplies but I guess that's no help to you if you don't have one.

I found that cheap individual 18v power supplies to be incredibly noisy. If its the older MXR version, it's a right proper noisy bugger!

Xotic voltage doubler should work.

One trip to Andertons and it's sorted. It's the newer silver one. It's budged the EP booster off my board already.
