I know the OPs statement is in jest, but as we all know, Gibson's financial woes had very little to do with the part of the business that made guitars.

It may not have been done well for a while, but what ran up the debt was buying random companies trying to become a generic "lifestyle" business.

They probably made only one of these odd pink things, and it sold, as the one linked to is used!
