Mint condition. Looking for £950 now.
I wasn't sure of the date (its not mine, selling for my brother-in-law), so I emailed Fender with the serial number. Here's their response:  Cheers.

Ricky (Fender Musical Instruments) May 17, 11:13 BST Hi Michael Thank you for your email. This is a very cool Strat built in 1989, one of the first 'Artist Signature' series. It is indeed a Malmsteen Strat in Candy Apple Red with a Rosewood fingerboard. It features a brass nut, TBX tone controls and a scalloped fingerboard. The bridge and neck pick-ups are DiMarzio HS-3 Stack and the middle pick-up is a vintage style single coil Strat pick-up. 21 jumbo frets, vintage-style tuning pegs, 'C' profile neck and 9.5'' radius fingerboard. Alder body with gloss finish. Let me know if there's anything more you need.
