MI Audio Crunch Box Repair

Was going through my storage box full of pedals, and came my forgotten but superb MI Audio Crunch Box - plugged it in and remembered why it was in the box...

In bypass there's no sound at all.  Turned on, there's the gainy, distorted sound I liked, but about a third of the volume of me going directly into the amp.

Anyone know what might be causing that?  And if so, is it likely to be something an amateur can fix?  I'm comfortable rewiring a guitar...

Mine did something similar ages ago, can't remember exactly what it was, but there was one wire that had come unsoldered, and it was pretty obvious where it had come off.  Re-soldered and all was fine.  Take it apart and have a look it may be the same

OK, so there's nothing obvious that I can see.

I think I'd like to get it repaired properly - any recommendations where I can send it?

I'm happy to have a look to see if a replacement footswitch would fix it. Would just charge for bits

Its  worth emailing Michael Ibrahim at MI and asking his advice...  info@miaudio.com

I have three MI pedals and while non of them have had any issues, he was quick and courteous to respond on email registering warranty etc
