LPJ come TELE

 Just finished this guitar (well all that I’m going to do to it any way) its a cross between a LPJ and a Tele. It’s got a Mahogany body with a three piece Mahogany neck with a Rosewood fingerboard. It’s a set neck, set at the same angle as a LPJ so a wrap over bridge can be used. The pickup rout is for a P90. the guitar weighs 4lb 7oz’s so the finished guitar should weigh just over 7lb. There was going to be two of these made but the other customer went for a Thin Line Tele with standard pickups.

I've made quite a lot of these all though most have not had a lean back head stock but with a Tele type head stock.

The first guitar to be made this week was a Tele body but this one is made to take a Charvel neck that has been taken of a Strat type Charel body. Most of the hardware will be used as well form the Charel. The new body is made form American Red Alder it has a front arm chamfer plus a waist cut, control pocket rout is on the back, pickups single coil at the neck with a humbucker at the bridge.

Indeed, I'm thinking LPJele, with LP control layout, routed for humbuckers and with a wrap-around bridge would be rather marvellous...
