Do you ever wonder why you agree to certain jobs?

Having spent the past two weekends timing just over a thousand people over 3 different events, this weekend sees the final big weekend of events.
Tomorrow I have to time 450 people over 2 sportive routes, followed by 600 people racing a national champs race on Sunday, but with the added complication of remote data collection, and ensuring said data appears on various screens around the event village.

I am currently sat surrounded by timing kit plugged into various chargers, looking at my guitars thinking, if only I said no, I could be sat playing them, and riding my own bike up some nice sunny hills tomorrow instead of being stuck in an eazi-up staring at screens.

Christ yes. I've been spending the last two years wondering why I ever agreed to take this stupid job. All I get is whining from one side, bullshit from the other. I'm telling you, another two years of this and I will quit as lead Brexit negotiator in a huff.
