    What for?

If it's syrup on pancakes then it's maple all the way.

On a guitar I'm not terribly fussed.  I have 2 Strats - one of each.

Edit:  Is there a picture on the OP that I'm blocked from seeing at work?  D'Oh!

Two tone brown/yellow sunburst is associated with a one-piece maple neck.

In my opinion, if you want to go with the rosewood fingerboard, some attempt should be made to suggest the faded red portion of a Sixties three colour sunburst.

Ultimately, it is your money and your decision. If the finished guitar satisfies your requirements, that is all that matters.
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

I always prefer a maple fretboard
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

Before I opened the post, my reply was going to be - rosewood of course. I think the maple looks much nicer though. So in this rare instance - maple

Maple looks great.  Although my opinion of the rosewood one may be distorted by the presence of a torty guard.

Rosewood, and it is improved with tortoise guard and white pickup covers.

  • I’d worry about the sunburst and the corned beef first.

On a Strat? Maple. But on any decent solid or semi, Ebony.

Completely agree! I almost never prefer maple over rosewood, but the difference here is staggering. It just looks right.

Always rosewood for me.  There's something about maple fretboards that I don't like and I just can't articulate what it is.

Maple in this instance, annoyingly as my strat looks like this

Two tone Strat has to be maple.  No excuses or sick-notes.
