If I were to sell my 50W EVH 5150, what should I get?

Ever since I got my Suhr Badger 30 I have not been using the 5150.

It's a mighty fine amp, but not what I need at the moment. I could keep it and leave it in the amp pile, or I could sell it.

But if I was going to sell it - what should I replace it with?

Got to be a head, not a combo, and be different enough from the Badger.

Hit me with ideas!

I'd suggest a CAA, or a Bogner Shiva- but they are big money.

Under a grand I'd probably hang onto the EVH.

2 channels would be nice. Not fussed about reverb as I have good pedals.

Nice clear clean channel and good levels of gain on the other - not necessarily teh brewtal as I can always slam the front with a Koko Boost.

Would be nice if the drive channel was quite tight though - plenty of definition. I like low notes to sound like a low guitar and not a sludgy bass. That is the job for the bass!

If you want a real roarer get a Carvin Legacy mark 1. They're really cheap on ebay, like 400 quid for a head and 4x12 with V30s.

A Mark IV or a Lonestar Special for nice cleans and a true lead channel. either at around £1000.

Or that jet city thing with SLO dna? don't know much about it but I assume it's cheap for what it is.

Don't really need more than the Badger and a few good pedals, that's what I'm realizing.
