I stumbled upon this video while researching a Harmony Bobkat(one's for sale in my area).  She's not shredding, and it's a Beatles cover but the tone!   And check out the look on her face at about the one minute mark.

It sounded like a POS guitar going into a nice amp to me. 

The junky tone suited the song in that case. 

She was very good though.

I liked the tone too, it's definitely "good junk guitar tone". Not so keen on what she was doing with it, though - she's good, but my gosh don't she just know it. [/Mike Skinner]

Minus points for putting modern Dunlop straps on an old junk guitar too - nothing wrong with Grolsch washers - especially if you're going to "carelessly" leave the string ends flapping around.
