His PAF’s pickups have a good reputation but what about his P90 pickups. Anybody tried them,got them.

  • I've been down this road. As taste is all relative the only real way is to order a set and try them out in the actual host guitar. You can always sell them on without losing too much I'm sure

    Every single winder will put his own 'stamp' on a pickup's sound. we all use slightly different winding patterns, turn counts, magnets ... even whether we use off the peg bobbins or our 'home brewed' ones will change the tone. 
    The only real test is to try one ...
