Imperial Grub Screws for Tele Knobs

I’ve got these Tele knobs. They’re really nice, made of a chunk of CRS steel. As are the matching control plate & bridge. Thing is that the Allen head in them is a little rounded over so whilst you can still spin them with an 1/16 Allen key when trying to get them to bite against the pit shaft the Allen key slips and I can’t get them to exert enough force on the pot shaft to stop the knob slipping.

So I think I need some replacement, imperial grub screws. But only two ! Anyone got any ideas ?

Are your current ones Rebel Alliance grub screws?

I think you can get them at screwfix...failing that eBay is your friend!

Thanks for the steer, couple of questions though.
is 1/16 the actual size of the external thread or the size of the Allen key head ?
Or is 8BA the thread size ?

Oh wait they’re actually 1/16” long. I would need longer ones I think

The 1/16 gives the clue they are imperial size - you need to known the size code for the ones you have

Assuming the thread is the same as Fender knobs (8-32 I think?), I found this:

So for the hordes of you that were avidly following this rollercoaster ride of a thread...

It would appear that the man that made these knobs is having absolutely no truck with the standard Fender sizing and has in fact elected to use 6-32 rather than 8-32 thread screws in these..
