    I'm plain sight!

She thinks this is the (same colour) Applause I bought four years ago. She still hasn't realised I've upgraded it to a Ballardeer.

The feet on that guitar stand looks like it'll wreck that nice wooden flooring!
That sir, is cheap laminate flooring.

It is hidden well as I have been in your kitchen and never noticed it!

Mine is spread around the house to missus munckee's delight.  I have 2 electrics, and acoustic and a tweed amp in my bedroom, a pedal board under the settee, an acoustic under the other settee and a cupboard in the lounge with my princeton and cables/spare pedals in.  There is one electric in a case in the lounge hidden behind a curtain.

I am allowed my THR5 on display in the lounge as missus munckee finds it aesthetically pleasing, she quite likes the acoustic so that is going on the wall of the landing when I redecorate shortly.

This is most of my stuff. In the box is my retired Aria LP copy. You can just see a sliver of my main guitar, a G&L Fallout. The little Laney amp has changed me from only using an amp 10% of the time to 90% which is good (although possibly not for anyone else with ears).
Taking the neck off is a whole new level, you are the guitar equivalent of the man with the golden gun!
That neck's part of my soon to be finished* C18Q1 challenge (re)build.

    *Lol
Can't sing, can't dance, can handle a guitar a little.

I am allowed 3 on the wall of the living room, so they get rotated fairly often.

Hard cases live on top of wardrobes.

Oh yeah...we used to have a dining room. It still has a table in but also a Technics Organ, Upright Piano, my PA system, DJ rig, 2 sets of lights, electric drums, other guitars (currently 5 in there plus a bass!), 2 amps, some other powered speakers, bag of speaker poles, 5 mic stands and several cases / gig bags full of cables etc. I also have a cupboard upstairs for my home recording kit.

It's all cunningly hidden behind the closed door. When I can close it.

The rest of my gear is hidden at a local youth club that I run YBTB at twice a week. Fuck knows what I'll do when that place closes later this year!

I had an idea a while back for guitar amps which look like furniture... coffee table heads, armchair 4x12s, that sort of thing. Not only would it be easy to store around the house, think how cool your stage would look with a load of chairs & tables scattered around the backline :D
That would be pretty cool :) Didn't Rush have a washing machine backline for a couple of tours? :)
Yes, I think they did... and possibly Neil Young too? Or have I made that up?
Too much gain... is just about enough \m/

I'm probably the only member of this forum mentioned by name in Whiskey in the Jar ;)

Amy Winehouse nearly achieved the living room vibe on stage.
I’m not sure about washing machines but Geddy Lee had a chicken rotisserie backline for a while.

  • Geddy Lee has had some interesting discreet rigs:

Dry's filled with t shirts they throw out at the end. (I love the mics. Apparently they produce a warm, dry sound)

    Rotisserie as above:

  • When my in-laws came for a brief 5 month stay my guitars and amps lived in their cases in the cupboard under the stairs/tin the garage, and under the bed.  I made do with an Amplifi TT attached to the living room HIFI which was very discreet.  No photos alas.
Swine!! you have me gassing an Amplifi TT now....

is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?

You're not the only one... Love the idea of one of the little ones on a shelf with some sort of wireless set up too..
