Twin Neck, Guitar on top - Bass on the bottom.

Hi.

Not been on here for a while but thought you guys may be able to help.

I have or have had, various Twin Necks or Double Necks, over the years but never a Guitar on Top with the Bass at the bottom.

I have a friend who plays bass - all types 4, 5, 6 string - fretless, upright - the lot and is now drawn to the guitar.

Ideally a Guitar on the top and a Bass on the bottom, would suit him best.

As the link above tells you, I nearly had one but would love to know from the collective of the type I have mentioned, whether you have one, know of one etc.

Stands back and waits for a deluge of replies! LOL!

Depends on how far the player can reach.

Do you mean with their left hand? That’s the only downside I can see - the bass nut being further away than any part of either neck if the bass is on top.

Hi.

Impman - I know of that one, that is the one I narrowly missed but my friend is more into more ergo/trad shapes.

JezWynd - Not seen that one before, I could put it on the list.

That's essentially what I use my drop tuned 8 string for.
