After a jazz box type thing. An ES175-type ideally, but open to all suggestions.

Most importantly, it's got to be cheap as chips because I'm skint (and I love a bargain). If it's in need of some work/repair, then that's good with me.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I'm going to give those old ones a miss - something with a truss rod is essential. 

A Vintage or Washburn would be ideal. The Burny ES165-alike currently on eBay looks nice too. 

Forgot to say: I need something before 29th! Got a promo video to shoot.

I think I'm going to have to borrow one, yes. But I could do with a spare cheapo archtop (I've got something very special on the way, but it isn't going to be ready in time - two years wait so far)

Amp Guitars in Macclesfield have a couple of decent guitars of the type you mention. I was in there briefly yesterday afternoon, and there's a good looking Washburn (J3?) and an Epi Broadway (Unsung factory) which used to be mine. The guitar, not the factory. 

Chris is a good guy - no affiliation, but if you do talk to him, mention Dave (me) and the ES-150 etc, and he'll probsbly add 10% on!
