Sending Fender Amp via carrier. Advice?

I need to send a Mustang III via UPS to Spain. Tried looking for alternatives but this is the only reasonably priced I could find. I don't have the original box. I plan to wrap the amp in polystyrene (50mm) then plastic film to hold it in. Then hard cardboard on corners and hardboard or chipboard front and back. Maybe some buble wrap for extra protection. Too much? Too little? Anyone have experience with similar situations? Share your advice please. Cheers

Recently shipped a Peavey Windsor 1x12 Combo to Austria for someone.

I went to my local guitar shop, paid £5 for a Fender HRD box and the packing it came with. 

I wrapped the amp in a big thick plastic bag first then packed it up properly using all the correct inserts and corner protectors.

Amp arrived in once piece and the buyer was happy.

Gubble man, that's actually a very nice idea. Will have to investigate that around here.
