I moved in with my fiancee and her six-year old daughter a few months ago. The daughter loves my guitars, can't keep her hands off them when I'm playing, and has recently started lessons at school, which makes me very happy :)

We've got into a bit of a routine in the evenings now: while she's having a shower and getting ready for bed I play my guitar, and she has to be in bed 'by the time I get to the end of the song' (I just play anything, and when she's heading for the bedroom I tell her I'm near the end, prompting her to run into bed so that she's not late).

This evening, her mum is out so I put her to bed on my own... I told her I was going to play my guitar while she brushed her hair, and picked up my bass, for a change.

'Ooh' she said... 'You're going to play the *cool* guitar'

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! I've made a monster! :D
Too much gain... is just about enough \m/

I'm probably the only member of this forum mentioned by name in Whiskey in the Jar ;)
