Suggestions for pedalboard

I know this will have been discussed a lot, but what are some good alternatives to Pedaltrain boards? Particularly ones with slots like them rather than flat boards.

That's what I have at the moment but the trouble was finding flight cases that didn't cost the earth. That's why I wonder if buying a board that comes with a case might be better

I kinda did that but the other way round. I found a case and then built a board to fit inside the case:

For some reason i have long liked the concept of these. Originally the board was ply (with holes), now metal, and probably a lot lighter:

They look a lot better in that black metal finish, I always thought the wooden ones always looked like something my son would play with for learning shapes!

I have a Pedaltrain and it's ok, velcro can be annoying especially on smaller pedals. I preferred having a wooden board and fixing the pedals to it with bike chain links and screws. But I also like the portability of the Pedaltrain in the padded case, I can have that over my shoulder and guitar/amp in either hand and carry everything in one trip. The Palmer Pedalbays look like a good alternative and are more adjustable than PT.

I got a Harley Benton Spaceship 60XL from Thomann. Never had a problem, holds pedals and a power supply underneath, comes with a reasonable gig bag and velco too.
