Hi folks.

Looking for a strat neck for a strat project. Not sure really what to go for. Classic Vibe, Mexican etc. I don't need a vintage neck or anything like that!

Based in Ireland.

  • I have a rosewood board neck from a 1998 Crafted in Japan 62 Reissue Stratocaster. Originally bought for a planned project but my plans have changed. No tuners but it has the bushings. I could do it for £220 plus postage.

  • I don't need to go that high though pricewise.

Are paddle headstocked necks an option?

Hello - I've got an allparts maple neck with large headstock and bullet truss rod that I took in a trade. It has a tru oil finish I think, previously had a tinted lacquer finish that was sanded off, some of that still in evidence but hard to describe without pics. Feels nice and worn in but isn't that old. Has a tusq nut on it and the fret ends have been dressed, edges lightly rolled i think. Need to get some pictures of it, which I can do tomorrow when I'm back at the workshop.

Happy to do it for £115 shipped to Ireland if you're interested?

  • I’ll have a think. I had been eyeing up one with the smaller / regular headstock

No worries. I have some regular sized headstock ones with rosewood fingerboards but they’re fully finished in gloss nitro and £225, maybe some wiggle room. Cheers

  • I have this which I was planning to put on a Charvel body.  Unfortunately the angled heel on the body means that the holes are very slightly out of alignment and so it doesn't quite fit together.  Any good?

Possibly don't need to go that "high end" as it's a bog standard strat project... hmmm....
