Several details point towards a Matsumoto factory output. The crude refinishing and Gibson truss rod cover devalue the guitar. Probably best filed under "project" and with a price to match.

Some might say that it would be best filed ... into dust.


Ultimately, the thing that is shite about that eBay listing is the vendor's behaviour.

To be fair, you're not just getting a guitar for £999. As a bolt on, that neck would make a decent paddle too.

I had an Ibanez V ... and it may well be one ... that was actually a rather nice instrument ... however what you have there is so badly bastardised, it's pretty much worthless.

Aria did a FV mid 70's, possibly branded Diamond.
