FS: Carr Rambler - SOLD

Oh my.

I never ever thought I'd sell this, but as most of you know by now, I'm setting up my own business... have just bought two cars, an Apple iMac and needs must...

You will also know that I'm a HUGE Carr fanboy; this is superb, and takes pedals better than anything Ive encountered. Your guitar sounds like your guitar though it. 

A genuinely sad and regrettable sale.

Bought new by me from the lovely Doug at Coda Music.

Still has the original box and footswitch, and is in lovely condition. This has the far superior Elsinore speaker, and having owned 3 Ramblers (and numerous Carrs) this is the best one I've had.

No issues whatever. Beautiful amp.

Fitted with an extension vintage NOS (RCA I think) valve, and sounds great in Pentode and Triode modes. The reverb is legendary, and the trem has that wonderful vintage depth and 'whump'.

Now cost £2700 new, and none available it seems in this lovely colour.

I'm looking at £1599 ppg ono.

Happy to ship at buyers expense, or meet up for a Costa Coffee somewhere and deliver it.

Man, I can't believe I've got to do this...

Interestingly when I bought it, it was one of THREE amps I had from Doug... 

A Carr Sportman, and a Tone King Falcon accompanied it. I love both these amps to be fair, but the Rambler was (and the remains) the King for me. I remember Chris from Rift Amps (who knows a thing or two) commenting that the Rambler was one of the best amps ever made...

When the funds come in, I'll be back for one

Sorry to hear this Warren. Having just bought my first Rambler (and Carr for that matter), I really see what the hell you were going on about. Don't worry though, there are plenty out there and you'll have another soon enough.....or maybe not soon enough but you know what I mean. 

Good luck with the business, It'll be worth the sacrifice, however much it hurts now.

That's still up for debate

commenting that the Rambler was one of the best amps ever made...

It's absolutely one of my favourite sounding amplifiers, just not a fan of the aesthetic.
The tone and touch response of the Rambler is unquestionably sublime, a real killer.

On a side note; what are the 'gramma' that the amps stand on - insulation mats ?
