Seems you need the Steinberg dongle to try the demo.. so only existing customers can try it out. I'm loathe to spend £18 just to trial Cubase 10. It's a chicken and egg situation..

Is the demo for 10 out already? I can’t see it, just the 9.5 one. 

Regardless, it’s a 30 day fully functional demo IIRC. I would prefer to not need the dongle, but it’s not that bad considering the length of trial.

I did start by trying a trial of 9, and didn’t buy it. Tried it again at 9.5 and did buy that

So far it looks good ... the interface has been tidied up as have some of the plugins - easier to add inserts do side-chaining and I like the new mix console - easier to use and the snapshot function allows you to have store multiple mixes which you can compare.

I've only had an hour so far ...

There are a few things to be aware of, I think the custom colours can’t be transferred so I’ll need to rebuild mine when I do upgrade. Can just reference a screenshot though
