Fixing a small chip

I've got a small chip on my Acrtic White Fender Shiflett Tele that I'd like to fix.

It has a poly finish. Can I use something like this?

The paint will work, won't cause a reaction etc. Good paint, used theirs a few times inc that colour on my Strat.

Depending on the chip it might need a few layers with time between to allow for shrinking back, but yeah you should be fine with that paint.

On a nitro finish the solvents would dissolve the surrounding paint and so blending it in would be easy, but this won't happen with a poly finish. I'd be looking to ensure the area is well prepared (clean), maybe sand the edges of the chip so you're not trying to fill a hole with steep edges.

With pure nitro like that there's no solvent, but yes cleaning helps mainly to avoid too much of a line showing where fill meets original finish.

You can use nail polish, build it up in layers then sand/buff
