is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?

    For me it's these:

    Divided by 13 jrt 915
Silvertone 1484 (or whichever is the Jack White amp
Fender Vibroverb (do the vibrolux amps sound like these?)
Kemper (with profiles of the above amps)

If anybody wants to flog me any of these at rock bottom prices that'd make my day missed out on a bargainbargain  by 13 in Manchester a couple weeks back because I was there for work one day too late! Boooo

Fender Vibroverb (do the vibrolux amps sound like these?)
    Nothing like them.

Nor do the 63 RI's sound anything like the originals either. I've played ONE 1963 VV and it was, without doubt, the most wonderful amp I've ever heard.

If you want to hear a VV at its best, Ker-Nop-Fler is the man- Brothers in Arms or Lady Writer.

    Anyway, my list is short
     1957 Tweed Twin
    1963 Vibroverb
    1959 Big box Tremolux

That's it. I've got everything else I want.

Chris, you realise there were only 19 made and the last one sold made 30k?!

@Jimbro66 yes of course I did and I stand by that statement...Bartel will be for sale in a matter of weeks :)

its quite something though so don't hold your breath...super versatile and is great and making my guitar sound louder

It's the Jeff Buckley & Jack White connections for me really with that one, a quick Google suggests Buckley used the 63RI, whereas seemingly Jack White's is an original. So who knows :)

The nearest modern amp tonally (other than a strict RI like a Milkman or a Rift) is a Tone King Imperial, but it loses the punch of the 10"'s.

Yes, it was I who told you that!

I’d be quite happy with a brown one, but a blonde proto would really be the ticket

Is that so? Lady Writer I can fathom but BIA? Always thought that was a JTM45??

    Mind = officially blown!

Or have I missed the plot?

I've got pretty simple amp taste - I like blackface cleans.

I'd love to have a blackface '60s Vibrolux Reverb. I'd also like to try some boutique takes on those tones - Carr, Morgan etc.

Remarkably I am content with my amp setup as of now, but I'd love to blast the following on stage:

    Hiwatt DR103
    JCM 2203 (70s)
    Sunn Model T
    Mesa Dual Rec
Ampeg VH140C (I have the S&K VHD pedal which is based on this amp but still...trying the real thing would be cool)

  • Princeton. Basically as a slightly more luggable/crankable alternative to my deluxe reverb.

  • Pretty much done with amps.

My Quilter Micro Pro combo sounds great, and anything better just isn't better enough to justify the extra weight, even if space and cost were taken out of the equation.  I have a couple of good amps (MusicMan 65 and Rivera Chubster) getting no use whatsoever and I really should sell.

I am intrigued by modelling and may at some point look harder at Kemper or Helix.
