It's that annoying thing. We were out for the day at relatives, I stuck a bid in on a bass on FleaBay. Spent all afternoon hoping I'd won as I put a decent bid on and ........ missed out by a fiver. Annoying!

Oh well, search goes on.

For all you know the other bloke could have bid another £500

^ Yeah that's always what I tell myself whenever I miss something by a small amount- you don't know what the other person was willing to go to. It's not that comforting, but it's worth reminding yourself all the same.

Yeah, you can always miss by a fiver, but I bid an amount that won some previous auctions. It was a squier vintage jazz bass that I could have collected. Oh well.

And another thing, it's always really irritating that someone calls or starts a conversation at work just as you are trying to concentrate on bidding in the last couple of minutes of an auction. :0)
