I’ve been looking at pedals like the joyo AC tone, American sound etc and am a tad confused.
I also looked at the quilter microblock 45 and I’ve seen people commenting that these work well with a preamp in front of them. I didn’t think they would need one.
I’d most likely just be using one for recording purposes so would like to run my pedals into something before going to the audio interface.
To make things more confusing I have an old Mooer micro DI box lying around which has a cab simulation setting on it.
In theory, I could then run my pedals to a joyo ac tone to mooer DI with cab sim on to audio interface?
Or could I go straight to joyo to audio interface and not have to use the Di?
The quilter microblock needs a speaker out cable so I’m guessing this would have to go to an actual cab first....
Essentially what confuses me is I see comments suggesting you should be using a preamp pedal with something I already thought was a preamp pedal ....
