Freezer checking is best to me but i know others use a razor, alot depends on the finish you've already got to get cold checking, im not a fan of cold air freezing
To me ageing is the whole package, fading on the colours, lightly aged fretboard, some normal dings and headstock aged plus hardware and plastics etc, this is just my opinion

25% was hot-cold-hot-cold but the rest was hand done with a fine sharp blade. It helps that the colour of the top was already stunning to start with
