I love Siouxsie & the Banshees, but not enough to buy a Les Paul.

Beautiful, I love it even without the Banshees connection.

If it proves to be a fake, who would I Sioux?

I’m not a LP fan but that’s cool.

  • Hong Kong Garden was written about my local take away at the time. True Fact

Lovely looking guitar too but without any provenance isnt it a touch expensive ?

Shit the bed: was ‘only’ £1500 when I posted it up. Wonder how mental it’ll get.

The Banshees were an Iconic band.,with a provenance it would do well..I think I actually saw John McKay with a White Custom,I have a memory of it in the clouds of the past..lol.. not McGeoch though..He mostly seemed to use his Yamaha SG1000s or the Occasional Strat..Also an Ovation acoustic..John Mackay also used an Ovation Breadwinner,or something similar.....McGeoch was somewhat of an underrated Legend I reckon..I loved him in Magazine..The guy could have just searched through videos and saw McKay with a white custom, then claimed it belonged to the Banshees though...

    Hmmmm

I think this is fishy. McGeoch was a well respected player by 1981. He was in Yamaha adverts. Owned plenty of guitars. So why use the bassists? That photo looks a bit "convenient" regarding its lack of detail. I've sent a Facebook message to Steve Severin & asked. Cos I dunno. It's not right if someone spanks cash under false pretences.

As as a side note, I saw John McKay tried to return to music around 2000. A mate answered an advert he'd put up in a weekly. I wonder where he is now?

It went for £2600 with no provenance and a neck break! I must put my Buddy Holly ‘Flying Strat’ on eBay - see what it goes for!
