    Sorry - I forgot all about adding them!!!

    The amp was built in 2010, I think by Michael Swart himself. See the last image

    It will also come with a new power tube fitted

    I'm based near to Northwich in Cheshire

  • I've got the big Brother (AST) and am wondering if I can justify having the baby for home use.  Is it the later model with the finger jointed cabinet?

    I don't think it's finger jointed. It was built in 2010 - if you look at the last photo there's a shot of the amp info sticker

    Whoops, didn't see that yes, it's an earlier one.  I also noticed the voltage labelling, it's marked up as a 110v but has a UK 240v plug?

    I've only seen a couple (plus photos of others), but they all had the same voltage labelling on the back. I just checked on Coda and the photos of all the Swart amps I looked at that had the voltage labelled in the same way all said the same! I also found this old advert which was the same http://www.thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/77858/sold-swart-space-tone-6v6se-650 ;

  • I bought one a few years ago. It was UK/Euro spec from the factory, but still had the 110v plate on the back. Swart only use one plate for all voltages.

    Great amp by the way.

  • My STR doesn't have a voltage plate on the outside at all, I've just checked. That's why it threw me.

    I've spent the day playing my amps trying to work out what I actually need.  I've got a mixture in the house - PRS Sweet 16, Brunetti SIngleman head & cab, Swart STR, 5e3 Clone, a Blackface Princeton... then a Helix just to confuse things!  I've got a friend in Runcorn so not to far from you & I'm due a visit.  I wouldn't mind trying it out??
