Synths ... get into synthesizers ... they are just like guitars. There are vintage models, classic tones, reissues, copies .. discussions about rare components and diodes ... it's a new avenue to explore and the good news .. it's expensive and compulsive.

...although I'd agree with nearly everything @Bridgehouse has said. 

I'd seriously look at a squire ss jag, which is the best of both worlds and easy to play. New for about £180.

Well you could always start taking photos of your gear. That’ll get you into “hmmm maybe I could do with a better camera, that might make my shots look better”. Guitar gas is nothing compared to the rabbit hole that is photography, believe me.

The real money is always in the lenses. That Leica lens is an extreme example but those huge lenses you see the press guys at football matches using cost £1000’s too. I’ve got a decent but not top end camera and four or five lenses but I’m probably something like £10k in the hole through chasing and upgrading my gear

Currently a Canon full frame DSLR (5D3) with a couple of L lenses and some Sigma ones. I started out with Canon crop frame stuff.

Bugger, never really added it up myself. I’m in for a 6D and a bunch of Ls/flash guns etc. Oh dear
