Princeton external speaker socket question

munckeemunckee Frets: 12354
i set up my 68 custom Princeton today and it was unusually quiet, I turned it up to 5 and a half which is louder than I usually have it at home and it was a respectable volume but driven.

Turned out I had connected the tremolo pedal into the extension socket by mistake.

Does thos cause any harm  if not seems to act as attenuator?

im puzzled!

Don’t do that, you’re driving the amp into a near short. You may damage the power valves or burn out the footswitch contacts if you do it for any length of time.

Thanks @ICBM figured it would be a thing if it was safe for the amp. Shame sounded great!  : )
