how the **** do I get rid of ******* pirate language from Google Chrome???

Somehow my Google Chrome now thinks it's a ******* pirate. This is more than annoying, anyone know how to turn it off? I have found no useful info online. 

'Pirate' doesn't appear as a language. My language is set to English.

When you say your language is set to English, do you mean on the computer, or in Chrome?

For Chrome specific settings:
- go to Google home page
- click Settings (bottom right)
- Search Settings
- Language
- Show more …

Isn't that odd...  I've just spent the past half hour trying to get mine to stop displaying in Spanish!  Don't ask me how I've managed it, but I have...  and I also saw Pirate as one of the options - as well as Elmer Fudd.

If only that were true. In reality Master Mate is as close as you'd get, and the cabin boy was called Tom.

You need to be on the Google Search Engine web page. Then follow the steps outlined by @Snags. In my browser Pirate comes after Oromoo and before Romana. Just clear the button.

You should have.  Is this on a PC, Mac, Chromebook, Linux box or phone?

From a PC or equivalent if you go to http://www.google.co.uk/ (or any other of the TLD Google pages) then bottom right should be "Settings"

Clicking through as above (Search Settings from the pop-up menu, Languages on the left afterwards you should get a list of common languages, with a "Show more" link underneath. Pirate is buried in there.

@Jimbro66 Snips from the PC version of Chrome, saved into hosted storage (OneDrive in this instance), then in OneDrive go to the picture and choose the "embed" option, and cut and paste the code into the "attach image/file" button on the comment tool bar here.

Other hosting services will have a different route to get the correct code for the link button here, but the principle is the same.

Ah, OK thanks. I still use Flickr for hosting (but probably not for long). Same procedure as any other image then. I hoped there might have been a quicker way. Image embedding here, particularly from mobile, is so tedious. I'd gladly pay to avoid that if DS offers that option in the new site software.

Edit: I don't want the thread going off on an 'embedded pictures' tangent when poor old axisus can't buy from the classifieds because he can only pay in dubloons
