Just finished the cab to go with my custom headshell. Only taken a year!
Fitted the WGS Veteran30 from the original Redplate Combo and an Eminence Tonespotter(similar to a G12-65 aparently). Cab sounds great, big and full and articulate, or maybe thats just the amp.

    So, where you have different coloured tolex - do you cut a groove in the wood to take the piping and hide the seams?

    Thanks chaps. @exocet, yes cut a groove about 2.5mm wide and 3mm deep, after applying glue, lay the tolex over the slot, cut it along the opposite edge of the slot. Do the same for the adjacent piece of tolex then push the cab string into the slot to trap it. At the ends of the string, hiddent by the baffle or backplate I staple it as well.
