What kind of music are you likely to play? That's a good place to start, along with a rough idea of budget :)

    Hello..

what sort of music do you listen to?
what sort of music do you wish to play?
do you have a guitar currently?
    what's your budget?

    My trading feedback

is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?

There’s a huge amount of choice at the more budget end of the market - and the good news is that the quality is great - most of the time!

This is very much true. If you're coming back to it after a few years you'll be amazed at how good some of the "cheap" guitars are nowadays. 300-400 is more than enough TBH you can probably go down a bit :)
Amp wise, Katana 50 before anybody else says it.
Shot through the heart, and you’re to blame, you give love a bad name. Not to mention archery tuition.

  • Boss Katana would be great choice for an amp.

Guitar-wise try some out.. get a feel for the various shapes.. strat/les paul/telecaster etc... there are excellent budget versions of these around. The brand "Vintage" is something to consider.

Plenty of respectable pre-owned guitars in your price bracket. Some of them listed in the Guitars £ section of this very forum.

Before anyone else Bridgehouse says it, if you are not confident about forcing your digits into guitar chord shapes, have you considered bass guitar?

That's a tidy guitar, very nice.  Better-looking peghead than the Epis as well.

Welcome ... don't be afraid to buy a second-hand guitar .. you can often pick up a bargain that's been played and well looked after. What part of the world are you from?

Remember, it's easier to criticise than create!
