What's Hot

There is currently an advert on the reverb front page for the app. One of the pictures has a cool looking natural finish LP.

Anyone know what make it is?

it looks lush.

My Reverb App ad shows a dude playing a Mood Prodigy and a Wurlitzer... you'll probably have to post a screenshot, it's likely dynamically-generated.

Yeah I can't see it either. At a very very rough guess it could be one of the smartwood LPs that they made a few years back that all came in various natural finishes. Otherwise a 70s natural custom?

Possibly a custom, the pup selector is down by the control knobs, and the inlays don't look gibson'y

All I get is a bloke staring into a smartphone.
Like the majority of people I see these days.

Thank Christ someone else has seen it. was starting to think I'd put too much LSD in my tea this morning.

I like a good forearm bevel.

Natural wood one? Saw it briefly then it changed, I thought possibly ESP rather than Gibson but on my phone a bit hopeless trying to look.

That one? It's a Gibson "The Paul" - they've just been re-released for this year funnily enough.

    Here's an original for sale:

    Here's a new one:

They're no longer on Gibson's site though and can't see them for sale anywhere so maybe they've been pulled?

It could be a 'Firebrand' Les Paul (circa 1980) without its pick guard, but more likely to be a 'The Paul'.

'Firebrand' Les Paul ... 'The Paul'.
The Gibson Firebrand guitars were always named The Paul or The SG. The body wood varied between mahogany and walnut. The headstock logo varied between a waterslide decal and the eponymous branding into the wood.

Gathering the controls into a single cavity speeds up production and reduces costs. On the The SG, Gibson finally did the sensible thing and moved the output jack to the edge of the body.

These guitars mark a point in Gibson's history of budget models somewhere between the Marauder/S-1 and the Sonex, Challenger and Corvus.

I've seen two versions. I owned an 'LP Firebrand' which was written on the truss rod cover in a scroll font, with the branded Gibson logo. There was also a 'Firebrand "The Paul" Deluxe' which was written in a standard font.
