Hi, due to an elbow injury putting me out of playing for possibly years, I am putting up for sale my Knaggs Chena T1 Guitar.
This is  a very reluctant sale but the accident compensation will make amends eventually !This model would cost £5,000 upwards if ordered now and this guitar is like new !  If this guitar interests you, you would be saving approx £2,000 plus on a new order according to dealers.
My elbow is starting to heal which is why I reckon i`ll be keeping it if not sold by end of April.  in the meantime, cash is handy in my present situation ....The fotos of the back and headstock are not of my guitar but they are identical to it.  I couldn`t capture the true colour with my camera.
Knaggs are not taking order by `Tier` any more but by basic model plus add ons.  in other words, each instrument is a bespoke order and prices are moving up.  This guitar is a top of the range model.
Needless to say, it is extremely versatile and can cover pretty much all of the musical bases .
It is set up superbly with a low easy to play action and that `59` pattern neck ensures great stability.  I won`t harp  on about the guitar at length because most people in this type of market will know about Knaggs guitars.
Here are a few details nevertheless ....

Scale length  24 3/ 4"
6 lbs, 4 oz.
Aged Scotch Finish
Flame Maple Top
Mahogany Back and Sides
'59 Profile Mahogany Neck and Ebony Fretboard
Waverley tuners
1-11/16" Nut Width
22 Frets
.860" Neck Profile at Nut
.960” Neck Profile at 12th Fret
Morningstar Inlays
Lindy Fralin Humbuckers
2 Volume, 1 Tone Control
Bone Nut
Gold hardware
Nitro cellulose finish

I`m asking £2950 for it now .  delivery £45 fully insured or I could possibly meet part way for petrol  money. I may be looking for a vigier `Shawn Lane` due to the extremely low action which might keep me playing.

When I had one of these it was a beautiful playing guitar ......perfect 59 style neck ;not too big and just the right size and shape .Unusual bridge.

Yes, It`s a `Tier 1.  the so called Tier 1`s come with Fralins as standard. Can`t really compare the sound as I had an accident shortly after buying the guitar.  probably won`t be able to play for a year or more.  I`m thinking of trading it in for a short scale ukelele  ;-)

Thanks. Actually, I don`t like it quite so much in the fotos.  it almost looks` Too blingy`.  different in reality though...it`s wonderful, though I say it myself.  I should put it under the bed really, until my elbow heals.

Absolutely gorgeous guitar. I've never encountered a Knaggs myself but R.J. Ronquillo regularly tears it up on a Knaggs tele in his YouTube gear demos - always sounds good. Unless you really want the money now, putting it out-of-sight-and-out-of-mind might be a good idea.

Thanks, i`m not in a rush to sell.  on the other hand, my motor accident compensation would get me another one later.  the money`s always handy though.  what will be will be ...

I`ll be taking this off the market if my injured elbow keeps making good progress. This is over 40% discount on a new one and mine is mint and unplayed.

Stunning guitar, a steal at that price and a sad indictment of the current state of the second-hand market that it's still around. Good luck, if I didn't already have a Chena that I love to pieces I'd be all over that.

It's a Tier 2 in the same Aged Scotch colour... rosewood board instead of ebony, morningstars instead of seashells, Seth Lovers instead of Fralins... helluva guitar though. Definitely the highest level of craftsmanship no matter what tier you have, it's all otherwise in minor specs and bling...
