2019 (Bristol) South West Jam Song List Discussion

Ok, like the list. I take it that we can put ourselves forward for our suggested songs (or do we request edit access)? If so, @mrkb ;   put me down as guitar 1 (solo) for Rocks, Alive, Ironman and Wind Cries Mary.  I'd be happy to play guitar on Just like Heaven.

The list is looking good. I’d be happy to play bass for Sit Down, Rocks, Teenage Kicks - and anything else simple enough.

Thought it would be worth mentioning that if you would like to play on a song proposed by someone else, please put your digital arm up, and don't be put off if others have already done so, as the most popular tracks will be performed more than once.

For something fairly simple that could be adapted to numerous musical genres, I suggest Take Me To the River. (It Metals up quite nicely.)

I have deleted the tracks I proposed as 'performance tracks' (Move Over, Arc Of A Diver & Almost Cut My Hair) from the google sheet (the idea was that these tracks could potentially make up a showcase by the more accomplished players) and replaced them with three tracks I could potentially play on - Be Yourself by Audioslave, So Into You by Atlanta Rhythm Section and Cold Hard BItch by Jet - any takers?

I’d be happy to sing and do rhythm bits on Be Yourself , will also learn the solo, but am happy just to do that for my own learning.

As of this morning it seems that all of the 24 songs proposed so far are in need of one or more volunteer band members! Please review the google sheet to check that it accurately reflects the songs you have proposed; captures all your requested band roles; and please consider signing up to play on more songs!

Do bear in mind that popular songs will be performed more than once to give everyone who wants to play on them the opportunity to do so.

If you have not already proposed songs it would be really helpful if you could submit your suggestions v. soon!
