I'll do a proper NGD and write up soon, this is just a quick silly teaser...I'm trying to cook tea at the minute, just got barked at by the kids who want feeding.

10 points to anyone who can identify the guitar before my NGD goes up. There are big clues in the pics.

This spec is accurate to 1 year in particular, if fact just a few months of 1 year

How did I know? Because only Gibson Custom could heavily age a guitar and yet leave the nylon saddles pristine.

    Happy NGD!

I have the 50th Anniversary Custom and I swapped out the nylon saddles for aged brass ones. I didn't like the tone of the nylon, or the sharp edges.

    Nylon saddles are daft.

But correct, and yet still daft.

Not sure I could deal with them again on an ABR, the last lot I had, I chucked them.

The first thing that went on my 345 were the nylon nut and saddles

    Improved things no end
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.
