Soldering Iron for pots

What's Hot
Regarding soldering irons what is the minimum wattage recommended for soldering pots?

Any recommendations, preferably for under £40.

Nothing wrong with it, just got too many irons.

    Sorry on two accounts:
    1. Posted in wrong section
    2. Searched old threads and now ordered a soldering iron on Amazon

Well my KATSU Tools 312087 soldering station arrived today and first impressions are very good, infact bargainous at £26.99 delivered. By the weight of it I suspect there is a substantial transformer inside. It gets very hot, very quickly (200-480F and can be calibrated). I have a couple 20 and 30 watt soldering irons and it clearly radiates much more heat than they do.

I'm now looking forward to building my new harness and installing some Fender Custom 69's: )

Get a chisel tip bit with a large flat surface for the back of pots, and keep that narrow conical bit for finer stuff.

Thanks for the info. The soldering iron station came with these tips, is number one the one which you recommend for the back of pots?

I usually go for something like 3 but with a wider diameter tip (so the angled surface is larger), but 1 looks like the best one of those.

    Thanks, I'll order a 3 & 4mm version of number 3.
