    Excellent.

Took my young kids to a local RSPN event for the "great garden bird watch" a few months ago. They'd set up telescopes and all that looking out of the river in Leamington....a few ducks and that sort of thing then someone spotted a Peregrine sat up on top a church. Made everyone's day and really got my eldest lad (5) interested in birds of prey.

there's some on Norwich Cathedral as well. Not sure there's a webcam but the BBC site has had news of a new chick recently :)
"Working" software has only unobserved bugs. (Parroty Error: Pieces of Nine! Pieces of Nine!)
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself

Don't know if they still nest atop the chimney stack of the Tate Modern.

Quite a few kestrels near me.

Saw a peregrine take a small duck a few years back. The falcon came from the sky at a speed you would not believe unless you were there (apparently they can touch 200mph in a 'wings folded' dive). Not nice for the duck, but an amazing display from a highly-evolved, efficient, killing machine.

But they can be out run by a pigeon in level flight.

That'll be the rewards of learned behaviour evading pest controllers wi' guns.

Surprised me that fact though. You live you learn.

I've loved Peregrines since I were a nipper, massive fan of birds of prey in general, but there's something about the Peregrines that is awesome. My parents and I went out to the Hawk Conservancy near Andover on a bank holiday weekend last year, the weather was perfect for the shows they put on. At one point they had a Peregrine out flying (first time I'd seen one in the flesh), they were planning to show off the stoop, but halfway through, a red kite (wild, but probably released from the Hawk Conservancy) decided it wanted a dogfight with the falcon. Thankfully no harm came to either bird, and they did manage to demonstrate the stoop, albeit a brief one, still crazy how fast they can dive.

The only pictures I could get of it, the bugger was facing the wrong way!

    And here's a red kite.

Took my lads to Richmond Park today and spotted a Kestrel. We were able to watch it for a good couple of minutes.

At the other end of the wildlife spectrum we saw a few Mayflies too.
