Drill press suggestions

I have a cheap press where you attach the to it. But I'm looking for a more sufficient press for accuracy. Anyone have any suggestions?

Superb for my use (which is just drilling wiring harness templates)

think its German too...good quality.

i would recommend using your budget though, before this i owned one from screwfix, it cost £60.00 and it broke down after 2 days.

It’s the depth between the Chuck centre and the stem post that’s important .... short depths are fine for drilling pedal enclosures but no good for drilling string holes through a Telecaster for example

I should have expanded on my needs, that is precisely what I want to do

A cheap option for string holes is to clamp a cheap drill stand over the body blank:


Connecting control and pickup cavities without a scratch plate needs something bigger, and even a bench top drill will struggle to cope:

That's showing some ingenuity right there. My current drill press is similar to yours but my drill is slightly too big for it to fit in the holder. Which is annoying

Thanks for the suggestion. I have something like that but unfortunately my new drill is too large. I'll post some pics later.
I guess this is what they mean by measure twice!
