Teardropping in the UK

I've always loved Vox Teardrops, but never found one that felt right, so when @GSPBASSES put a picture of a body and neck combo he'd  made a dozen years ago up, I pounced.

Anyway it arrived today and everything you have heard is true, the man is the real deal and makes exceedingly good cakes.

So it is here in front of me, will have three Mojo Ye Olde Danelectro authentic pickups, Telecaster control plate, some Steinberger tuners etc.

But what I can't decide is how to finish it? On one hand I'm thinking nitro - maybe Burgundy Mist, but then paint is soo boring, so maybe gold leaf or copper.. I just can't decide.

So in summary - hayulp - any suggestions?

Ooo yeah.  You could use mother of jooky underneath, then a blue, black and clear swirld to get a cool look.
