Where to find MIJ pickguards?

I'm looking for a tortoise shell pickguard for a MIJ Fender Telecaster. Does anyone know where one can order them from here in the UK?

Also, are the screw hole positions any different to a USA ‘guard?

I have a NOS Fender USA ‘guard. Never been on a guitar.

8 screws and I think that the spacing is different on a MIJ? That's the issue

I reckon that the screw hole spacings are the same BUT that the cut around the neck pocket may differ.

I've bought various guards for my mij strat and the all fitted with no issues. Try alegree I think has templates you can compare or guitars electric.

When I bought my MIJ Tele a few weeks ago, the seller supplied it with a new (8 hole) pickguard because the original one was a bit scuffed. I could ask him where he sources them if you want?

Ebay sellers often distinguish between USA/Mex and MIJ/Import, although compatibility may be less of a problem with Teles than say, Jaguars. Even then it’s a bit of a lottery - especially with tort. You could get Jack’s Instrument Services to replicate the original if you still have it.

I put a US Tele guard on a MiJ Tele today. It took a lot of reshaping around the neck and the holes didn't align.

I got one for a Japanese Strat off earlpilanz on ebay. He sends you a pdf you can print and try on your guitar. The quality was good.

The replacement pickguard on your Cool Z was one of a batch I bought a couple of years ago, I was just lucky that all the holes matched (a rare thing!) 

I have a couple more but they are single ply & wouldn't be right for a 62 custom. It's difficult getting good replacements for Jap guitars but I usually email Guitars Electric. They are very helpful.
